Metering technology

The high level of automation in metering technology lead to extensive efficiency increase of the combined metering-, weighing- and packing machines. The drive occurs electromagnetic, pneumatic or by a crankshaft drive with adjustable amplitude, which is adjusted to different transported materials. This technical standard in combination with constant load, extreme relative humidity and formation of dust requests high specifications of S-Ply® leaf springs, such as high fatigue strength at constant spring flexibility. Conventional leaf springs hardly meet these specifications, for S-Ply® leaf springs a suitable material application. The spring displays only minor variation in spring behaviour within a temperature range of minus 50°C up to plus 70°C. In metering technology S-Ply® leaf springs come into operation as guidance- and handle springs, whereas the good damping characteristics of the S-Ply® spring cause optimal dosing exactness.
